Mid Columbia Medical Center is a 49 bed hospital in The Dalles, Oregon. Situated amidst a landscape of stark beauty in the Columbia gorge, it's a rare and special place in this world. One of the nation's only hospitals to apply to complete operations the "Planetree" model of medical practice, it's treatment programs approach each patient's needs by asessing and caring for their holistic being.

Both our design team, and the Communications team at MCMC felt that their web presence needed to strongly reflect and support their mission of holistic care, accesibility, and open and forthright communications regarding all parts of a client's participation with the hospital in their health care needs. Functionality such as online seminar and class scheduling, birth announcements, e-mail client assistance, and patient health education create a function rich site that was built in 1999, and is alive and active today.
This site was co-designed with Artist Clifford Schinkel, and produced in-house at iHealthMedia, during my appointment as Art Director.
