Blue Cross & Blue Shield of New Mexico is a client that has special needs in the Managed Care industry. Much of it's patient population belonged to specific 'Jumbo Groups', large government or private company contracts which required BCBSNM to offer a high level of functionality in it's web presence, as well as clear and direct acces for those targeted groups of subscribers, an excellence level required to continue servicing lucrative large group contracts.

The interface design of both the site itself, as well as BCBSNM's provider directory, an application created to allow patients access to information regarding benefits, primary care providers, and specialists as offered by their specific plan, saves this HMO the cost of an overburdened call center. Additional features such as prescription benefits by plan and online health and wellness programs add to this site's functionality, which is live and in use today.

Responsibilities on this project included:

• Asessment and balance of user population's needs with the client's desires and budget
• Choice of Stock Photography used
• Application interface design for the Provider Directory
• Maintenance and optimization of all graphic files for web and client delivery
• communication with technology department to design within functional limitations
